Settings - Items
The Items tab defines item's look.
Picture preview. Defines how iCollections will display image file icons inside Collections.
No - A generic picture icon will be used (the quickest method)
As Icon - A picture preview with white frame
As Image - A picture preview without frame
Display an arrow on alias icons. If selected alias (link) items will be displayed with a small arrow (as in the Finder).
Icon shadow. Draws shadow under an item's icon.
Resolve aliases - When selected alias items will be displayed with original file icon (instead a generic alias icon).
Show hidden files and folders. Display system and hidden items (filename starts with a dot "."). Files ".DS_Store" and "Icon?" are allways hidden in iCollections.
View combined "Applications" folders. Some of the files displayed in the /Applications folder are in /System/Applications. macOS displays both folders when you open the /Applications folder. The same is with the /Applications/Utilities folder - some files from "/Applications/Utilities" are stored in "/System/Applications/Utilities". macOS combines these folders when displaying. Select this option if you want iCollections to display combined contents thses folders.
Shide all name extensions. All item labels will be displayed without its file name extensions.
Empty space icon. Collections allow inserting "empty spaces" as separators between items. Select hot the separator will looks like.
Selection shape. Selected item shape - outline or block.
Label font. Font used to display file and folder names in Collections.
Label color. Color used to display file and folder names in Collections.
Shadow color. Shadow color for file and folder names.
Highlight icon - When selected, file icons in Collections will be highlighted when mouse cursor is moved over icons.
Mouse hover labels. Item label which is displayed as a popup when mouse pointer is moved over an item.
Trash icons. Allows you to change Trash icons. Press "Set.." and read your icons from the selected folder.
Activity indicator. Set an activity indicator appearance. The activity indicator is a small line on item's icon showing that the item is running.
Icon badge. Set icons badge colors. The icon badge is displayed as a notification badge (identical to the Dock notification badge) and as a file size/app version badge. The notification badge is only displayed when the app is in the Dock. The notification badge is not available in the App Store version of iCollections.
Item Auto-sizing. Define limits for item icons resizing. The option concerns Auto-Size Collections.
