Grid Mode


Grid mode allows free flow allocation of items in a Collection. In the grid mode user have the flexibility of placing the icons anywhere on the Collections window.



In the grid mode, all items inside a Collection must be visible. Scrolling the Collection is not possible. When switching into the grid mode user must make sure that all items will fit in the window without scrolling. If items can not fit in the window, the window will be resized up to screen size. If the items still can not fit in the resized window, the grid mode will not be turned on and appropriate message will be displayed:


In grid mode items can be moved within a Collection by drag and drop or by selecting items and pressing arrow keys:

When dragging items into a Collection from Finder, items will be located one by one occupying first free spaces (slots):

The following modes are not available in the grid mode:

- Vertical and Horizontal mode
- Size to Fit
- Automatic Sorting
- Automatic import items
- Enlarging the Collection (top-left window buton)

Grid Mode can hold a limited number of items. If there is no free space, the collection will not accept any more items. To add new items, enlarge the collection by stretching it.
