Is Scherlokk based on Spotlight?

Scherlokk has its own search engine, although it also uses the Spotlight index to quickly retrieve indexed files. Apple has decided to exclude certain selected system directories from the Spotlight index. By setting your privacy preferences, you could have excluded more.
Scherlokk has no such limitations in file search - it searches all subfolders and all files.

Is there a Windows version?

No. Scherlokk is build for Mac from scratch using native technologies and targeting the modern versions of macOS.

Why does Scherlokk list that many folders?

If you are looking for files only, make sure "Search for folder" option is turned off.

How can I activate my trial version?

The trial version can be activated to the full version by purchasing a Scherlokk license. Once payment is accepted, a personal license key is generated and sent to the buyer.
