ZipAndUp periodically backs up your files and sends them to a specified folder or remote server.

ZipAndUp is an utility that runs in the background and displays its status on the menu bar.
ZipAndUp allows you to define a list of backups. Each backup consists of any number of files and folders that will be archived and sent to a location of your choice (on a local folder or on a remote server).
ZipAndUp main window
Backups can be performed automatically every specified period of time (e.g. weekly or on a specific day) or manually.
The name of the backup file can be defined according to various schemes. For example, it may contain the date of the backup or a sequential identification number.
Settings
Backups can be sent to any local folder or any folder on a mounted server (e.g. folder on another Mac, iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc). ZipAndUp also allows you to send created backups to any SFTP server.

The archiving and backup of each file is recorded in a log that is saved on the disk and can be viewed at any time.
